Frequently Asked Questions
TenderNest is an app where friends and partners leave each other heartfelt notes — text, photos, or voice messages — that the recipient can open at random whenever they need a boost. It's not about instant messaging; it's about leaving something thoughtful for someone to discover.
You can send a connection request to another TenderNest user by searching for them by name or email address. Once they accept, you can start leaving notes for each other.
Notes sent to you are stored in your nest and revealed one at a time when you choose to open one. You don't get to pick which note — it's selected at random, so every reveal is a little surprise.
Yes — every connection has a History you can revisit any time, showing all the notes you've sent and received with that person. You can filter by sent or received and sort by newest or oldest first.
Yes! Alongside written notes you can attach a photo or record a voice note. Sometimes a familiar voice or a favourite picture says more than words.
Yes. After opening a note, you can leave a comment on it — a nice way to say thank you or react to what someone shared, without needing to start a whole new note.
TenderNest's free tier lets you keep up to 3 connections and send up to 100 notes in total. Need more? You can either purchase a one-time message pack for 100 additional notes, or upgrade to premium for unlimited connections and unlimited notes.
Email verification helps keep TenderNest safe and ensures we can reach you for important account notices like password resets. You'll need a verified email before you can send notes or connect with others.
Check your spam or junk folder first. If it's not there, you can request a new verification link from within the app. Make sure the email address on your account is correct.
We ask for your date of birth to help keep TenderNest safe — it lets us confirm that everyone using the app meets our age requirements and helps protect younger users from misuse of the platform. It'll also unlock optional birthday and special-occasion reminders in a future update.
Yes. Notes are only visible to the person they were sent to. We do not read, share, or sell your content — see our Privacy Policy for full details.
You can delete notes you have sent at any time. Editing a note after it has been sent is not currently supported.
Removing a connection deletes it immediately for both people, and you'll lose access to the notes shared within it. This can't be undone, so only remove a connection when you're sure.
Yes. You can block a connection directly from their profile menu. Blocking is silent — the other person isn't notified — and reversible any time from Settings → Blocked Users. Blocking on its own doesn't remove the connection; you'll be asked separately if you'd like to remove it too.
Removing a connection simply ends it — you could reconnect with the same person later if you both chose to. Blocking is a safety action: it stops someone from contacting you at all, and can only be undone by you unblocking them. Blocking doesn't automatically remove the connection, though you can choose to remove it at the same time.
You can report an individual note by long-pressing it, or report a person directly from their profile menu. Choose the reason that best applies (Spam, Inappropriate Content, Harassment, or Other) and submit — our team reviews every report. Afterwards you'll be asked separately whether you'd also like to block and remove that connection.
If your account is suspended, you'll see a notice the next time you open the app and won't be able to use TenderNest until it's resolved. You can submit an appeal directly from that screen, and our team will review it.
Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen and enter your email address. You'll receive a link to set a new password. The link expires after a short time, so use it promptly.
You can delete your account from within the app's settings. This permanently removes your account and all associated data, including notes and media. This action cannot be undone.
Open the Connections tab and tap the invite icon. Choose "Invite by QR code" and ask your friend to scan the code shown on your screen. Once scanned, a connection request is sent automatically — no searching for usernames needed.
Yes! Start a nest for someone who doesn't have the app yet by sharing an invite link with them (via WhatsApp, Messages, email, or by copying the link). You can start leaving them notes straight away — they'll be sealed in the nest until your friend joins and accepts the connection. Invite links expire after 14 days.
A nudge is a gentle push notification sent to a connection asking them to add more notes to your nest. It's a friendly reminder rather than a message — just a small signal that you'd love something new to open.
Yes — mute a specific connection from their profile menu to stop receiving notifications from them, without removing or blocking them. You can unmute at any time, and your mute setting stays in sync across your devices.
Yes. Mark any connection as a favourite from their profile menu to help it stand out in your Connections list.
When composing a note, tap the voice note icon and hold the record button to capture your message. Release when you're done. You can preview the recording before sending — if you're happy with it, attach it alongside your written note or send it on its own.
